Tanya Chua At Singapore Idol Finale: Not Her Greatest Moment
I’ve read many bloggers who have commented that Tanya Chua did not do justice to her cover of Green Day’s “Wake Me Up When September Ends“. Sadly, I have to agree. I needed some waking up from listening and the song didn’t provide it! The song’s key was simply too low for her. But none of the other singers did a good job. There were too much restraint in their voices; unlike the emotional freedom that Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day displayed.
But didn’t Tanya look ever so cute with her hair pulled back? She should do that more often! Did you see her performance? What did you think? Am I being too harsh?

Sidetracking from the Singapore Idol issue, I got to admit that I quite like Tanya’s “Beautiful Love” in T-Time (:
I didn’t watch the actual telecast so went to watch the clip on youtube….hmmm, i think the key is toooo low for her…I think she would be able to sing better if the key is within her normal comfortable vocal range…i think that is the problem when you sing with guys…key too low…
Honestly…
I was so looking forward to the performance but when I saw it… I freaked!
Waht’s with the hair? (So not Tanya)
And what’s with the make-up? (Another not Tanya moment)
Must agree with the fact that being a fan doesn’t mean you have to like everything but the Idol performance was really not what I expected.
I want the real Tanya back!
