Even though I have been posting less, Tanya has been no less busy during this time! Tanya has been participating in the concert programmes of her fellow musicisions — two powerhouse male singers! Shortly after coming off (周杰倫) Jay Chou’s successful concert tour, Tanya has been recently spotted at (陳奕迅) Eason Chan’s Simple life tour (簡單生活節即).

I’ve been reading online reviews of those events by the concert attendees and there is an absolutely discernible pattern. Every one of them have only good things to say about our Tanya! If you were at those concerts and did not know who Tanya was, you were probably not in the minority. But TC leaves no doubt why she deserved to win this year’s Golden Melody awards. With her simple, humble and intimate presentation, a girl and her guitar has outshone any other performers who might have used elaborate lightshows and dancers instead.

Though Tanya still is not the main headliner, I have a feeling that the consistent exposure will help many new fans discover Tanya’s music. As 2006 quickly draws to a conclusion, it will be remembered as a significant breakthrough year where a girl and her guitar is finally getting recognition!
