Today is a day of vindication for Tanya Chua (蔡健雅) fans! We fans already knew that TC has always been the best; as well as the many singers, songwriters and musician that she has worked with.

However, today is an official affirmation of her status in the Asian Music scene as she won the best mandarin female singer category in the 17th Golden Melody Awards (十七届金曲奖). More details and more photos of her victorious day follow!

Many fans were dissappointed that Cheer Chen (陈绮贞) did not win the best female singer award. Cheer is absolutely fabulous, but unfortunately we absolutely adore Tanya here so there will be no sympathy tears. 2006 fielded some top notch female singers in the category so everyone is a winner! Especially TC fans!

As Tanya walked down the Starwalk red carpet with her mom in hand, all that everybody noticed was her mesmerizing dress with that plunging V-line. Tanya also thanked her mother in her speech but where has Tanya been hiding that body all this time? =)

Tanya was all smiles while posing for the reporters back stage. She did not expect to win and was surprised by the announcement. 5 years of waiting! I have never seen such elation and happiness in her smile as she has today! An emotional Tanya answered, “”I am really proud because there are so many talented and creative singers this year!” We are proud too!
